Revisiting my heavier haunts to study up and flex for TATANKA, and get my butt out of my comfort zone, I find an endless stream of brilliance that I previously missed. This is a good example. One from our “TATANKA Influences” playlist (have you Subscribed yet?) Hedwig and the Angry Inch broke the mold(s). The film gut-punches everyone, but as a musician, I was first floored with the soundtrack. To me it sounded like a lost @eltonjohn, late @thebeatles album. Huge, yet tiny, brilliant pieces that tore out my heart, not to mention the performances on screen. So much beauty. So much pain. This is a quintessential example of why we hope to have a GRRL singer.
